Highly recommend. I’ve had my eyes tested here and very happy so I took my 5 year old who did need glasses. I couldn’t be happier with the service from everyone. They made her feel at ease, helped with glasses choices. She couldn’t wait to go back for her check up! Which again was excellent. £25 well spent.
I have diabetes so I’m sent a letter every year to have an eye photo check up. This year it’s time for my annual eye test and my diabetes photo. I’m quite fond of my eyesight so off I go.
During the normal test I am offered an enhanced photo (not paid for by NHS) so £25 is the cost. I paid for the extra photos and they revealed the start of a pretty serious problem. The photos have found this problem so early that I am confident that my eyes are safe. The referral to the hospital was acted upon within 24 hours and I was seen at the hospital the following day, I will now be monitored regularly.
The staff at Orrell opticians have always been professional and friendly. I would recommend them to everyone.
(This problem is not connected to my diabetes and without the enhanced monitoring would not have been found so early).

Excellent service. Very helpful towards my elderly Aunt who can be somewhat hard to please!! Nothing was too much trouble and we were treated in a friendly professional manner. They even replaced two sets of frames when my Aunt found the frames she had chosen were uncomfortable to wear for long periods at no extra cost.

I was concerned that my vision had changed even though last eye test August 2021. Appt arranged and I requested Ashley as I previously seen by him. All the opticians are excellent including all of the staff who are always pleasant and friendly. The good news that my problem could be rectified with a new prescription. So reassuring

I have been looked after by Ashley and the team at Orrells in Ellesmere Port for many years and couldn’t be more complimentary about the service they provide. In later years as your sight changes you need a trusted professional that you can reply on to give you the best advice using the latest technology to assess your needs. I’m 68 and have recently needed cataract surgery. Ashley guided me through the whole process, providing all options, outcomes and the re assurance you need. Thank you to Ashley and the team.
